As always, this popular dinner ;potluck will be held at the Garden House at Shou p Park in Los Altos. Bring your favorite d ish to share with everyone. Or, you can bring drinks or wine.

Stu's talk will be our annual Brenda Butner Memorial Lecture.Stu Weiss, Ph.D. (Stanford University ) is Chief Scientist of Creekside Science, which provides scientific and co nservation expertise to diverse organizations as they cope with the rapidly changing 21st Century environment. He has researched the Bay checkerspot b utterfly and serpentine grasslands since 1979, and has authored numerous sc ientific papers concerning climate/microclimate, population dynamics, nitro gen deposition, and conservation ecology.

This is a great opportunity to meet other like-minded individuals, Chapter leadership and other volunteers. The evening includes a fun silent auction and sh opping for books and other items from the Chapter store. An RSVP is en couraged so we can plan accordingly. Although we are&n bsp;ordering fewer new books for our Chapter sales, we welcome your us ed books to sell at our potluck and other events.
