SUMMARY:Native Plant ID
LOCATION:Alum Rock Park
DESCRIPTION:
We will try something different for Native Plant ID in Nove
mber. On Tuesday, November 24 we will go on a hike in
Alum Rock Park, to explore the different ecosystems in the p
ark and see some of the trees that Bruce will have discussed in Octobe
r. We’ll also expect to see a variety of other plants in their fall pl
umage plus nuts and berries. The hike will be about 4-5 miles along bo
th sides of the creek, with about 600 total feet of elevation gain.

We will meet at the Rustic Lands parking area at
10:00am. Bring a snack or lunch and dress appropriately&nb
sp;for the weather. We should be out 3-4 hours with a break for lunch.
Heavy rain cancels the hike. Please sign up by <stro
